Up-Lifted About Up-Lifted

A For-Profit Social Enterprise Built for Newcomer Success

Up-Lifted Newcomers Inc. is a federally incorporated, for-profit social enterprise founded to address interconnected barriers that newcomers experience during settlement and integration.

Our business model brings together Housing, Employment, and Education as our three core pillars, supported by Career Development, Mental Well-being, and an Information Hub.

Unlike a traditional service model that addresses these challenges separately, Up-Lifted connects them through one coordinated pathway. We provide practical tools, information, services, and opportunities that help newcomers move from arrival toward stability, employment, education, and long-term economic and social integration.

We generate revenue through our services so that the organization can operate sustainably and expand its capacity to create social impact. We are committed to reinvesting the majority of our profits or surplus to strengthen our social mission, improve our services, develop accessible resources and technology, expand partnerships, and increase the positive outcomes we create for newcomers.

Up-Lifted is a business with a purpose: sustainable revenue supports sustainable social impact.

Up-Lifted Newcomers Inc. is a for-profit corporation operating as a social enterprise, with its social purpose integrated into its business model.

Our Story

Up-Lifted is a for-profit social enterprise founded by Keiday Ali and Łukasz Niparko to fill a critical gap in newcomer settlement by connecting housing, employment, education and information through one coordinated pathway.

The model leverages the interdependence of stable housing and meaningful employment to enhance integration outcomes and mental well-being. We believe that when newcomers have a safe place to call home and meaningful work to sustain themselves, everything else falls into place.

From our Toronto base, Up-Lifted is building a focused, credible growth path that follows newcomers from their first day to their full integration into Canadian society.
